Sébastien Genest-Roy holds several professional designations, including Financial Planner (F.Pl.), awarded by the Institute of Financial Planning (formerly IQPF), as well as Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), awarded by the Canadian Securities Institute. He also holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from FP Canada and is registered with the SEC as an investment advisor. He is also pursuing the Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM) designation.

Sébastien has more than 20 years of experience in the financial security, surety and property and casualty insurance brokerage sectors, including Hub International, Industrielle Alliance and Western Financial Group.

He joined Giverny Capital in October 2018 and now holds the position of  investment advisor representative.
